Gresham Smith Competition focusing on the redevelopment of an abandoned warehouse in the canal district of Indianapolis, IN. Program focused on the development of sustainable co-housing, mixed with commercial and community outreach spaces. Major design elements include the creation of a centrally located community building, which housed daycare and a local library branch. Existing building is reworked to house commercial upon the first floor with a living machine system and outdoor patio being housed within the 2nd and 3rd floors. Apartments are pushed to the back of the site as a way to anchor the complex and promote none vehicular connection to the developing canal district.
Proposal awarded 2nd place overall within the competition.
